New in Koach: a vice-captain for your volleyball team and more

Not every update revolves around one big feature — sometimes it's three smaller improvements that save you on match day. This time: a vice-captain for your volleyball team, played tournament matches you can still edit, and drills whose explanations you can finally read at your own pace.

A vice-captain for your volleyball team: always an armband ready

Your regular captain ill, injured or off skiing — then what? The player sheet now has a second toggle next to Captain: Vice-captain. That player gets a VC badge in the team list and on their player profile, so everyone knows who takes over the armband. Set up a match while your regular captain is out and Koach automatically suggests the vice-captain. How to make that call is covered in choosing a captain — you pick your vice-captain with exactly the same eye.

Captain and vice-captain are now instantly recognisable by their badge in the team list.

Editing tournament matches afterwards

Entered a set score wrong in the rush of a tournament day? Played matches within a tournament now have an edit button: adjust the opponent, date, venue or set scores, and the tournament standings take the change into account straight away. So the pool standings of your tournament stay right even when something went wrong along the way.

Drills at reading pace

Drill phase animations now wait longer when a phase has more explanation text. A phase with two lines of explanation no longer flashes past while you're still reading — welcome when you're showing your team a drill from the library for the first time in the gym.

Tip: appoint your vice-captain well before the first match and tell both players. On match day it's then a badge, not a debate.
