1. Who we are

Koach is an app for volleyball coaches to manage teams, trainings and matches. This policy explains what data we process, why, and which rights you have. Koach is the data controller for account holder data.

2. What data we collect

For your account: name, email address and password. For your team, entered by the coach: player names, date of birth, positions, jersey numbers, contact details, attendance, effort scores and match statistics. The date of birth is only used to show the age of a player on their profile. We also collect limited technical data such as device type and app version, needed to make the app work.

3. How we use data

Only to make Koach work: managing teams, tracking attendance, scoring matches and showing statistics. We do not use your data for advertising and never sell it to third parties.

4. Player data

The coach enters player data and, as team manager, is responsible for informing players, or their parents for minors. Many teams include underage players; for them, the coach or club needs consent from a parent or guardian before entering data such as name and date of birth. Players or their parents can request access to or deletion of data through the coach.

5. Storage and security

Your data is stored encrypted on servers within the European Union. Connections use TLS. Access to production data is limited to a small number of authorized people.

6. Retention

We keep your data as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we erase all team and player data within 30 days. Backups expire automatically within 90 days.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete and export your data. You can also object to processing. Send a request to info [at] koachvolleybal.nl and we will respond within 30 days. You can file complaints with your local data protection authority.

8. Cookies and statistics

On our website we use Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager to understand how visitors use the site, such as which sections are popular. These tools place cookies. The statistics are not linked to your Koach account and we never sell this data to third parties.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. For significant changes we will notify you through the app or by email before the change takes effect.
