Volleyball Scout Pro: Premium, prices and how Koach compares
The short answer
Volleyball Scout has no plan called Pro: its paid tier is Premium, on top of a free Base plan that already logs every action of the match. Premium adds deeper stats and export. Koach tracks the match more simply, in the same app as your lineup, practices and attendance. Just scouting? Volleyball Scout. One app for your whole team? Koach.
You searched for Volleyball Scout Pro, or you are weighing Volleyball Scout against an app for your whole team. Below is what the free Base plan, Premium and Premium + Video do according to the developer, where Koach works differently, and who each app suits. We make Koach, so we also tell you where Volleyball Scout is stronger.
What is the Volleyball Scout app?
Volleyball Scout is an app for scouting volleyball matches: during the game you log, action by action, who played the ball and how, and the app turns that into stats. Its own site describes it as software to analyze your matches and make your team better. In the App Store it has been listed since 2021 under the name Francesco Rasi, and on Google Play under Tortiolaware. It runs on iPhone, iPad and Android, and both store pages show an update from late September 2026, so the app is actively maintained.
According to the App Store description, you can use it to study your own team as well as other teams. For indoor volleyball there is a screen the site calls Smart, which recognizes your team's rotations; for beach volleyball there is Minimal, a simpler screen. The developer's site says more than 100,000 coaches use the app, and on Google Play it shows 100,000+ downloads.
Koach is a different kind of app: an app for your whole team, where tracking the match is one part, alongside your lineup, your practices and attendance. We make Koach. So read this as a comparison by an interested party; that is exactly why it also covers where Volleyball Scout is stronger.
Volleyball Scout Pro, Premium or the free Base plan: what do you get?
Checked in October 2026 on volleyball-scout.com and in the Italian App Store. If you search for Volleyball Scout Pro, you are most likely looking for the paid version. We found no version called Pro on the site or in the App Store: the paid tier is called Premium. If you mean NS Volley Scout PRO, that is a different app from a different developer (Nicola Salvaro). It is one of six apps in our overview of volleyball scouting apps. Volleyball Scout itself has three plans.
- Base, free. The mobile app for Android and iOS with unlimited matches, teams and actions, plus basic stats. According to the App Store, that already includes a full match scout, with attack and serve trajectories and stats per player. Google Play notes that the app contains ads; removing the ads is one of the things Premium adds.
- Premium, €29.99 per year. According to the site, a yearly subscription you can cancel anytime, with professional stats, match export and import, and export to PDF, XLSX and CSV. The App Store also lists stats per rotation, your setter's distribution and a time-out board. In the Italian App Store, Premium is listed as a €39.99 purchase. That differs from the price on the site, so check which price you are shown before you buy.
- Premium + Video, €16.99 per month on a yearly plan. Everything in Premium plus Volleyball Scout Video, a program for Windows and macOS. In it you link the scout to your match footage, filter down to just the actions you want to see and cut a highlight video to share with your team.
Where Volleyball Scout beats Koach
On scouting, Volleyball Scout wins. We would rather tell you now than have you find out a month in:
- Every action, not just the end of the rally. A scouting app logs the serve, pass, set and attack separately. Koach logs per rally who won the point and how, and on the opponent's serve, how good your reception was.
- Trajectories. Even on the free Base plan you record where an attack or serve went. Koach does not track court positions or attack directions.
- Scouting other teams. According to the App Store, you can study other teams with it too. In Koach you only record that the opponent made an error, or that their point was a good ball; Koach tracks nothing per opposing player.
- Beach volleyball. The Minimal screen lets you scout beach. Koach is built for indoor volleyball with six players.
- Video and export. With Premium + Video you watch the scouted actions back on video, and Premium exports to PDF and Excel. Koach has no video and only exports to CSV.
- More languages. According to the App Store, Volleyball Scout is available in more than ten languages, including French, Portuguese and Japanese. Koach is available in six: English, Dutch, German, Spanish, Italian and Polish.
- A longer track record. Volleyball Scout has been in the App Store since 2021, Koach since July 2026.
What Koach does: match tracking as part of your team's week
In Koach you track the match on your phone from the sideline. After a point you tap the player under Who scored the point? and choose Attack, Block or Serve / Ace; if you scored from a mistake on the other side, you tap Opponent error instead of a player. If the point goes to the opponent, you tap who made the error (or Unknown / unassigned) and pick the type of error under What went wrong?; if the other side simply played the point well, you tap Good ball by opponent. When the opponent serves, you give the Reception a rating from 0 to 3 and tap who received the ball. How to use that scale is explained in tracking passing quality with 0 to 3 ratings.
14 days free, no credit card. Add your team tonight, track your match on Saturday and then see where you leaked points.
Try Koach with your teamFrom those few taps per rally, the app works out the rest:
- Side-out per rotation: for each rotation, how many rallies you won on the opponent's serve. Why that is the number to look at first is explained in what side-out means in volleyball.
- Avg. reception per player and per match.
- Setting distribution and Assists: the app counts every attack point scored while your setter is setting, without any extra taps.
- Playing time, measured in rallies played per player, and the Momentum of each set.
- In a time-out, the numbers Since the previous time-out, such as your weakest rotation.
The real difference is beyond the scout: team, practice and matches in one app
A scouting app starts and ends with the match. In Koach the numbers belong to the same players you mark present at practice on Tuesday, who are in your lineup and who have their own profile. So in one app you see your weakest rotation and who missed a lot of practices this season, and in each player's profile how their points per match develop over the season.
- Practice. You tap Present, Late or Absent for each player, or All present in one go, and you give stars for things like technique and effort.
- Lineup. You set up a 5-1, 4-2 or 6-2 with setter and libero, and that lineup rotates with you during the match.
- Players. Every player can get their own free account, where they see their own stats and playing time.
- Let someone else keep stats. If you are busy coaching, you hand off the tracking with Authorize a player to keep score: a member with a linked account then tracks the match on their own phone.
- No signal in the gym. The app then shows Offline mode and keeps your changes on the device until you are back online. If live tracking did not work out, you use Enter stats afterwards.

What Koach does not do
- No video: in Koach you cannot link footage to your numbers.
- No stats per opposing player, no trajectories and no heatmaps.
- No hitting percentage: Koach counts attack points and attack errors, not attempts.
- No beach volleyball: everything assumes indoor volleyball with six players.
- No PDF export from the app: you export your season and your players as CSV, and you share a match as an image with Share match report.
- Players and parents cannot follow along live: the live screen is only for coaches and the authorized scorer.
Which app is right for you?
- Choose Volleyball Scout if you have a dedicated statistician who wants to log every action, if you also want to scout other teams, if you play beach, or if you want to review your match footage alongside the numbers. If you would rather not spend anything at first, the free Base plan is a good place to start.
- Choose Koach if you do everything yourself: practices, attendance, lineup and the match. You want to know who scores, how your passing is holding up and in which rotation you leak points, without someone next to you whose only job is tapping.
- Use both if you have a statistician and also want to organize your team. That works, but you enter the match twice. Agree beforehand which app's numbers you go over with your team.

What does Koach cost next to Volleyball Scout Premium?
You can try Koach free for 14 days, with no credit card and every feature included. After that you choose Coach for €2.99 per month (one team, two coaches) or Club for €9.99 per month (unlimited teams and coaches). With a yearly plan you pay €2.49 or €8.33 per month. Players and parents use the app free with their own account. Over a full year, a Coach yearly plan comes close to the price Volleyball Scout's site lists for Premium; the difference is in what you get for it. The amounts are on the pricing page, and in the App Store and on Google Play you see the price in your own currency. How tracking a match in Koach works step by step is explained in tracking volleyball stats with an app.
Track one friendly in both apps. Have your statistician scout it in Volleyball Scout and track it yourself in Koach with Start a friendly match. After the debrief you know which numbers you actually use, and whether the extra depth is worth the extra taps.

Frequently asked questions
Is Volleyball Scout free?
Partly. According to volleyball-scout.com the Base plan is free: the mobile app with unlimited matches, teams and actions, plus basic stats. According to Google Play the app contains ads; Premium removes them and costs €29.99 per year on the site. In the Italian App Store, Premium is listed at €39.99 (checked in October 2026). Koach has no free plan: you try it free for 14 days, with no credit card, and after that Coach costs €2.99 per month.
What is the difference between Volleyball Scout Pro and Premium?
In October 2026 we found no version called Pro on Volleyball Scout's site or in the App Store. The paid tier is called Premium: a yearly subscription with, among other things, professional stats, stats per rotation, setter distribution and export to PDF, Excel and CSV. Above that sits Premium + Video, with a program for Windows and macOS that links the scout to your match footage. NS Volley Scout PRO is a different app from a different developer.
Is there a Volleyball Scout Pro APK?
The Android version of Volleyball Scout is on Google Play. According to the site, Premium is a yearly subscription, and in the App Store it is an in-app purchase. A 'pro' or 'premium' APK from another website does not come from Google Play: you do not know what you are installing or whether it comes from the developer. So download the app from Google Play or the App Store and choose the plan you need there.
Can I use Volleyball Scout and Koach together?
Yes. You can have a statistician scout the match in Volleyball Scout and use Koach for your practices, attendance and lineup. The downside is double entry: if you also want to see your side-out per rotation and reception per player in Koach, someone has to track the match there too, live or afterwards with Enter stats afterwards. Koach cannot import a scout from Volleyball Scout.
Can you scout beach volleyball with Volleyball Scout?
Yes. According to the site, Volleyball Scout has two screens: Smart for indoor volleyball, which recognizes your team's rotations, and Minimal for beach volleyball, where you can follow any number of players. Koach does not do beach volleyball: lineup, rotations and match tracking all assume indoor volleyball with six players. If you play both beach and indoor, Volleyball Scout is the logical choice for your beach matches.
