Using Koach in English (and 5 other languages)
Volleyball teams stopped being single-language a long time ago: the Erasmus student playing opposite, the expat libero, the Polish outside hitter. That's why Koach speaks six languages — and switching takes one tap.
Switching the language
In the app, the language option lives in the settings: Dutch, English, German, Spanish, Italian or Polish, per user. On the website the same choice sits in the navigation bar. The choice is personal — you coach in your own language while your English-speaking player reads their own profile, statistics and calendar in English and the German exchange student sees everything in German. Same team, same data, everyone in their own language.
What gets translated — and what doesn't
The interface translates fully: buttons, labels, overviews. What doesn't translate is your own content — team names, drill descriptions and notes stay in the language you wrote them in. Tip for mixed teams: write drills the whole team needs to read in the language everyone shares, and keep notes (visible only to coaches) in your own language.
Volleyball terms in every language
The nice thing about volleyball: the international terminology is already half English. Setter, libero (libero everywhere), rally, ace — in the English interface the positions are called outside hitter, middle blocker and opposite, and in German Außenangreifer and Mittelblocker. In practice a mixed team has it figured out within two practices; the court speaks its own language.
Set the player's language correctly when inviting them. A player who sees their first invite and profile in their own language right away is on board; someone who first has to puzzle through a foreign-language screen drops out before you've even started. See also inviting players.

Is the language choice per team or per person?
Per person: every user picks their own language, independent of the rest of the team. The data underneath is the same for everyone.
Are my notes and drills translated automatically?
No — your own content stays exactly as you wrote it. Only the interface (buttons, labels, screens) follows the language setting.
Which languages is Koach available in?
Six languages: Dutch, English, German, Spanish, Italian and Polish — app, website and knowledge base. Every user picks their own language; more languages depend on where Koach grows.
