Leaving your team or switching teams as a player
You are leaving your team, moving up a level or switching clubs. Leaving your volleyball team in the app is deliberately simple in Koach — and nothing gets lost. Your statistics stay neatly with the team, your account remains yours, and joining a new team is just as easy as it was the first time.
How do you leave your volleyball team in the app?
Open your profile and settings and choose Leave team. That detaches the link between your account and your player profile: you no longer have access to the team, and the team no longer has access to you. That is all there is to it — no forms, no waiting period. Still on the fence? Then do nothing: as long as you stay linked, you keep everything that comes with your player account.
What happens to your statistics and history?
They simply stay with the team. Your player profile — with your points, your attendance history and your badges — lives on, just without a login attached. That is by design: the team keeps an accurate season overview, even when players move on. And if you come back later, the coach can link that same profile to you again, so your history is reunited with your account. The same goes for your match statistics: last season's results and set scores stay accurate, your share included.
How do you switch to another team?
For that you need a new invite from your new coach — the same route as when you joined your current team, via a personal invite. Important: do not create a new account. Open the invite link and simply sign in with your existing account to link it; the exact steps are in the guide to accepting an invite. One account can be linked to several teams — so you can comfortably be on your new team before leaving the old one, or be a player on one team and a coach of another. No exporting or migrating needed: every team keeps its own history, and your account is simply the key that opens the door.
Tip: switching teams? Ask your new coach to send the invite before your first practice. That way you are on the player list from day one, you can sign up for practices right away and your new history starts immediately.
Can the coach unlink you as well?
Yes. The coach can detach the link between your account and the player profile from their side too — for instance when you have already left but forgot about the app, or while tidying up the roster after the season. The effect is exactly the same as leaving yourself: the profile and the statistics stay with the team, your account stays yours. Nothing to worry about — the button does what it says, and nothing more. And if you are simply leaving because the season is over? Send your coach a quick message — that reads a lot better than a silent unlink.
