Teamy alternative for volleyball: organising versus volleyball-smart coaching
Teamy is an app for all team sports: attendance with smart reminders, team chat, tasks, lineups and a team pot for shared costs. But 'all team sports' also means it is not built around volleyball. Here is how to decide whether you need something that knows the sport.

Where Teamy is strong
Teamy does the organising well. According to its own site you get attendance with smart reminders, team chat, event chats and private messages, tasks such as who is driving, lineups for all team sports, guest players, team stats and a Team pot for shared team costs. You can load your match schedule with a link from your sports association, after which changes to times or venues update automatically. The app is available in six languages, on iPhone and Android.
Price: Teamy is free to start with Basic (one team, up to ten members). You can upgrade individually to Player or Coach, or take a Team plan that gives the whole squad premium features; its English-language site lists those at £3.99 and £26.49 a year per person, and from £49.99 per team per year, with a 14-day free trial for Team (prices in pounds, checked in September 2026).
Where it stops for volleyball
Teamy is built for every team sport, and you notice that as soon as it is about the sport itself. Its lineup tool lets you drag players onto a field with starters and bench, but it does not know a 5-1, a rotation or the libero. Its team stats are general, not volleyball live scoring with attack, block and serve per player.

Mainly after organising: attendance, chat, schedules and shared costs? Then Teamy is strong and there is no need to switch. Want the coaching side, meaning a lineup with rotations, live stats per player and development? Then you are looking for a volleyball app like Koach. In Koach you add matches yourself and set your practice night to repeat once; it does not load league schedules.
