Volleyball blocking drills
A block that closes late is worse than no block at all, because the defense behind it has already committed. These drills work on footwork, timing and closing the seam as a pair.

What to look for in blocking
Keep their eyes on the ball until it leaves the setter's hands, not on the hitter. Hands over the net instead of straight up: that gains more than any extra jump ever will. And agree in advance who takes the line, so the defense knows which part of the court it is allowed to leave open.
